Description
With this product students focus on how to write a good five sentence paragraph. This resource goes step by step in the writing process to help students make the most of their writing. Students fill out some brainstorming pages and graphic organizers to learn how to organize 5 good sentences to create a good paragraph.
For students who excel in writing, or if you'd like to do the extension with everyone, I've included the same process for a second paragraph. When it comes to creating the sentences, you'll see a page that is blank and a page with sentence frames to help students learn how to write varying sentences. Some students won't need the guidance as the year goes on. Some students may need those sentence frames all year.
I've included notes to the teacher of how I teach paragraph writing, as well as examples. It's always a yearlong process in my 3rd grade classroom. They definitely need lots of practice.
