Yes, we know the 2023-24 Spelling Bee Nationals are not over yet. But, now is the time to start planning for the Spelling Bee 2024-25.
**Preparing Young Spellers for Spelling Bee**
Preparing for the Spelling Bee is a years-long endeavor, but there's little structured guidance available for young spellers. We really appreciate our teachers, working long hours and then expecting you to shoulder the burden of helping kids prepare for Spelling Bee, what's essentially an additional two-course workload is unrealistic.
As you know, Spelling Bee success goes beyond memorization. It's about understanding language. This deeper understanding and the effort put into learning new words fosters a strong foundation for children's overall education.
From a competition perspective, exposing children to healthy stress can be valuable. Ask any student who's won their class Spelling Bee " the joy, pride, and commitment to overall academic improvement are truly contagious.
**Our Story and Mission**
It all started with a humble effort by a father to help his daughter succeed at the Spelling Bee. Though she fell one word short of the State round, she was ecstatic. Through a well-designed approach, he built a system that enabled her to succeed within just six weeks and not more than an hour a day's work. He created a system of micro-notes laying the foundation for a big chunk of associated words.
Then we set out to perfect this approach and it morphed into over 100 micro-notes to be studied over the course of a year. We started very small in a few school systems and hundreds of kids benefitted from this approach.
Now, as we build a next-generation learning platform, we're thrilled to bring the original program's benefits to every aspiring young speller, completely FREE.
**What We Offer: A Comprehensive Approach**
Our program covers root words and their intermingling across languages like Latin, Greek, French, Germanic, Celtic, Slavic and many more. Further we leverage the latest advances in data sciences, particularly a unique application of associative knowledge graphs. We use this technology to infer additional knowledge a student has accomplished based on responses to questions in an probabilistic manner.
We also focus on building understanding of vocabulary based on context and real-world reading.
**Teachers: Leverage Our Resources**
If you're a teacher looking to build an extracurricular activity or a club (academic or non-academic, including a Spelling Bee club), simply subscribe with your email address. It is completely free. No credit card required.
We're diligently preparing and updating our systems for the 2024-25 season, with micro-note delivery starting June 17th.
