Description
These printable, no-prep St. Patrick's Day themed color by solfege sheets are the perfect way to help your elementary music students review sol, mi and la. Similar to a color-by-number, students identify sol, mi and la and color each one a different color to reveal a mystery picture! They are perfect for second, third or fourth grade students in elementary music classes or private lessons.
The design is hidden in a grid of boxes, each box containing sol, mi or la. Sol, mi and la are each assigned a specific color. Students must correctly identify the solfege in each box and color it with the corresponding color to reveal the mystery picture. Students love watching their St. Patrick's Day image slowly appear as they identify the solfege in each box! Four different mystery pictures are included, so you can repeat this activity with the same students up to four times!
Each of the four mystery pictures comes in four different versions:
-sol/mi written on the lines of a two-line staff (la sits above the staff), with a labeled example of each
-sol/mi written on the lines of a two-line staff (la sits above the staff), without a labeled example of each
-sol/mi written in the spaces of a three-line staff (la sits on the top line), with a labeled example of each
-sol/mi written in the spaces of a three-line staff (la sits on the top line), without a labeled example of each
