Celebrate Valentine's Day with your students using this interactive activity! Make some "Sweetheart Snack Mix" and practice important functional skills with your students such as following directions, requesting, fine and gross motor abilities, and more.
This printable includes:
2 pages of instructions
1 page of matching "print and cut" visuals
What you'll need:
Mini marshmallows
m&m's
Cereal of your choice
Mini pretzels
Teddy Grahams
Popcorn
Markers
Paper bags (they stand on their own and provide stability while your student pours ingredients)
Scoop (size of your choice)
The best part about this activity is that it is simple; all ingredients can be purchased "ready to go" from the store, and any spilled ingredients can be easily swept up from the table or floor. No melting or mixing required!
This activity is great for students who require additional support in language processing or following directions. The included visuals can be cut and laminated for students who may require additional visual support, or for those students who use pictures to communicate their wants and needs.
