Description
"Surviving the Great Depression" simulation is, by far, the most engaging activity that you will use in tandem with any unit or lesson on the Great Depression! Students will become active learners with a fictional family, choosing careers and places to live, deciding on food and clothing that they can afford, all within a defined budget. Students will also be given some surprises along the way... In my experience, this has been a student favorite and they have eagerly anticipated this unit-long activity everyday!

- A group worksheet to keep a record of their budget and purchases.
