Tootling is a classwide behavior intervention. Discourage focusing on negative (non-preferred) behaviors such as tattling by turning positive feedback into a game! Tootling, or sharing when someone embodies positive character traits, can foster more positive peer interactions. This is especially helpful for classrooms with students who are at-risk for isolation or peer rejection due to high levels of negative behaviors.
This resource includes printable .PDFs of Tootle slips (2 border options), Tootle tracking pages (2 border options), and an intervention overview handout. These are intended to be tools rather than guidance. Please follow your district, state, and professional ethics guidelines as well as restrict access to digital and printed copies to maintain student confidentiality.
