This is the Google Slides and Printable version! Easy to edit Google Slides that can be shared on your learning platforms so each student has their own copy to edit.
I use these a couple different ways in my classroom. I will either have it available as an early finisher task for the month or I will assign them as a week-long mini writing project.

September:
Start your own Club: If you could start your own after-school club, what would it be? Plan out your own club, then create a flyer advertising your club to students at your school.
Create your own Video Game: National Video Game Day is on September 12th. Design your own video game! Plan out the video game elements, draw and write about one of the characters from your game, and finally, design one level from your game.
Design your own Playground: Imagine that you just won a new playground for your school and you get to design it! Draw out and label a picture of the new playground. Make sure to include at least three structures. Then, write out a speech you will give at the opening ceremony of your new playground. In the speech, you will explain the overall theme, tell listeners about the three new structures, and what they can do on them.
October:
Haunted House Advertisement: You were chosen to create a haunted house for your city. It will open this October. Start by drawing out your design. Then create a radio advertisement highlighting all the spooky things people can see and experience in your haunted house!
Halloween Character Interview: You will choose a Halloween character and answer interview questions as that character.
Holiday Treats Magazine Article:Write a magazine article teaching readers all about one of the most popular autumn treats.
November:
Perfect Fall Day: You just had the best fall day with your family. Create a journal about all the fun things you did and include pictures from your day.
Thanksgiving Day Float: Create your own Thanksgiving Day parade float that represents what Thanksgiving means to you and your family. Draw your parade float then write a poem or song that will be played as your float moves through the parade.
The Great Turkey Escape: You are a highly intelligent turkey that knows November means it is time to high tail it out of the turkey farm. Draw out an escape plan map then, write a speech convincing your fellow turkey friends to join you.
December:
December Holiday Museum Room:Design a room for a museum that teaches visitors all about a December holiday. After creating the room, you will write the script for tour guides to memorize as they bring visitors around your room.
Christmas Graphic November: Choose a classic Christmas character and setting. You will then create a graphic novel that tells a story about your holiday character.
Holiday Spirit Mural: A building in town is hiring you to draw a mural on the side of their shop that captures what holiday spirit means to you. You will then write a poem that will be read on the day of your mural's unveiling.
