@alicia-fourmeauxI was born and raised in a family of wonderful educators. My mother inspired me to go into teaching, as well as my grandmother. Their love for learning, sparked a love I didn't know I had myself. I went to college and graduated with a B.A. on Art Education, upon graduating I got my first job teaching Art. I was in love but then quickly found if I wanted to further my career I had to go back to school to add-on to my certification. I then achieved my certificate in elementary education. Where this choice has lead me to my current classroom teaching fourth graders ELA and Social Studies. My students are a cultural mix of low income students, ESL students and middle class students. They often come to school with out supplies. I would love to give them the learning opportunities I had in my education. I love to incorporate Art into my learning but with that it gets quite expensive to fund. I do my best. I appreciate any assistance I can get with funding my classroom.
