Ashley Barrows

I am Ashley Barrows, I am a single mother of two (a 12-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy). My daughter attends the school I teach at and we LOVE it together. I was born and raised in central Florida, I teach in the same town I grew up. I have a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Master's in Teaching and Learning Strategies; currently, I am in school for my Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

If that was not enough schooling, I am currently receiving my reading endorsement through the district program.

I decided to become a teacher because I tutored a young boy when he was in 2nd and 3rd grade, and I felt teaching was my calling. Seeing him learn through his struggles and successfully pass the state assessment, when all the data and his teachers felt he was below average paved the way for his success today. He was in gifted in middle and high school, just graduated with honors and attending a Florida University in Fall.

Even with the challenges teachers have, it has been the most blessed and rewarding time of my life. I love seeing my students grow and my children grow.
