About
Hello! My name is Nikki Ela. I'm a 2nd year Special Education Teacher and will be teaching a PK-2nd Grade Autism class this upcoming school year. I will be teaching 9 wonderful and amazing students with a primary disability of Autism Spectrum Disorder. My students require special supports and interactive, individualized, and engaging materials to help them learn. I absolutely love teaching my students and watching them learn and grow!
With this fundraiser, I am hoping to get the funds to buy my class a Basic Curriculum Set and a Pre-Academic Set of ShoeboxTasks. These tasks would be an amazing addition to my class as they would help my students learn how to work independently while also working on academic skills.

WHAT ARE SHOEBOXTASKS?
ShoeboxTasks are structured activities designed to help meet the educational and developmental needs of children on the autism spectrum and are starting points for children who are beginning their educational journey by 'learning how to learn."
HOW DO THEY WORK?
ShoeboxTasks are designed to be visually clear so that your child or student can easily see what they need to do and also when they have completed the activity successfully.
The materials provided with each Task are easy for children to handle allowing them to complete it with very little support or verbal instruction. The goal is for the child to complete the activity with as much independence as their ability allows.
ShoeboxTasks are designed with the child's success in mind. This is the foundation upon which to build. Success breeds success!
Thank you so much for your support for my class!
