@hollie-renoI am a 5th grade ESE teacher. I absolutely love my job! The joy of helping these struggling students is life changing! However, as you know teachers do not get paid nearly enough! I am raising money to help with some necessities that I am needing. I need pencils! I swear these kids must eat them or something, because at the begging of the year I had a whole bin full and they are all gone, and we are still in the first 9 weeks! Also, my students since they have disabilities try to avoid work at all costs. I have started a token program for Achieve articles that they complete with a 75% or better. They are loving this and turning them in like crazy! This is a great thing for them because it helps improve their Lexile reading levels. I didn't expect them to get so into this that my pocketbook is having a hard time keeping up with their rewards for completing these assignments.
