Description
This lab is a physical way to demonstrate the ideas of natural selection. The students act like birds to hunt bugs out of the multi-colored forest.
The class can then see how natural selection affects traits in a population, and model the ideas of Darwinian evolution. This also demonstrates survival of the most adapted (or fittest). You can modify this by using math tiles, building brick, or other colored blocks.
This is a great 1 day lab for those odd days before the breaks or when the sport teams leave.
