This module explores the creation of segregated US Army units in 1866 known as the Buffalo Soldiers.
Students will increase their knowledge of real fundamental facts about the incredible service provided by the Buffalo Soldiers and will be able to communicate their understanding by responding to the prompts within this module. There are nine prompts that ask for research based on the free video as well as the use of other online resources. One prompt asks for a creative imagination of a conversation between three of the soldiers while sitting around a campfire.
