This is a one day lesson that has been designed to review the concepts of the 5 spheres of Earth, weather vs. climate and the factors affecting climate. Lesson contains one page of diagrams and notes, discussion, demonstration, small group work, open ended questions and a variety of multiple choice questions. A PowerPoint presentation is also included to accompany the lesson. Also includes digital options, including a google form review to replace the paper worksheet, quizlet deck, and gimkit set.
Specifically written to review the following Florida Standards:
SC.6.E.7.4 Differentiate and show interactions among geosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere.
SC.6.E.7.3 Describe how global patterns such as the jet stream and ocean currents influence local weather in measurable terms such as temperature, air pressure, wind direction, and humidity and precipitation.
SC.6.E.7.6 Differentiate between weather and climate.
SC.6.E.7.9 Describe how the composition and structure of the atmosphere protects life and insulates the planet.
