Description

Students will enjoy this informational passage and assessment on the great Walt Disney and his film making career. Disney is the most important and popular figure in the history of cartoons and his name lives on today in his Disneyland amusement parks and the The Walt Disney Company, an American mass media and entertainment corporation. The passage focuses on Disney's great ideas to use sound, color, and the character of Mickey Mouse to begin and then expand upon his film empire.

This passage is written for Grade 4-7 students and can be used in a number of ways by teachers (close reading, direct instruction in class, independent practice, homework, test prep, assessment, sub work, centers, etc).
