Description
Earth Day is right around the corner, and it's a great time to teach your students about recycling. This product includes 6 pages of sorting mats that will get your students engaged and excited about recycling. They'll cut and paste images, sort items based on their material if they're metal or glass, paper or e-waste....and much more!
The goal is to help them to learn how recycling works at home and out in nature too. These sorting activities are perfect for Earth Day celebrations and day-long learning activities.

How to Use:
This activity is perfect for the classroom, and it's a great way to get students thinking about the impact of their actions on the environment.
1. Print the sorting mat pages on heavy cardstock paper or regular paper
2. Cut out the 35 waste items
3. Laminate for extra durability (if desired)
4. The activity is ready!
This Activity aligns with Next Generation Science Standards:
⚬ SC.4.L.17.4 Recognize ways plants and animals, including humans, can impact the environment.
