Hello! Thank you for considering my product for purchase. This product, like all of my graphic organizer sets, was created to help students keep a record of our learning each day in class and was meant to be used as part of our interactive notebooks.
This product, like all of my graphic organizer sets, was created to help students keep a record of our learning each day in class and was meant to be used as part of our interactive notebooks.
Included are 3 versions of each graphic organizer and a matching PowerPoint presentation:
Full-text: 4-9
CLOZE or fill-in-the-blanks: pages 10-15
Blank masters: Pages 16-21
I generally use the CLOZE version for most students and print the full-text version for students who need additional support.
Each graphic organizer is designed for one lesson (ours are 90 minutes" you may need to adjust according to your class time) and is directly aligned to the 8th grade social studies TEKS. Other states' standards have been consulted, however, to make them effective for a broader group of teachers. The TEKS and a derived I Can statement are located at the bottom of each graphic organizer.
Suggestions for use:
•For students to take notes during a brief direct teach.
•For students to organize information their classmates present in a jigsaw or reciprocal learning circle.
•To provide students with a guiding schema for learning stations.
*As a STAAR review booklet!
•For students to take notes from curated readings or videos (use when you have a sub!)
