What is Stripe?

Stripe is an online payment processor that enables businesses and consumers worldwide to send and receive payments. Additionally, if you want to fundraise or sell products, you will need to connect a Stripe account so that we can transfer your donations or sales to you.

Below are some common answers about Stripe. If you have any other questions, we encourage you to contact us or visit Stripe to learn more.

Here’s everything you need to know about Stripe:

Safe and secure

When you receive funding, you can rest assured and confident in the security of Stripe. Stripe is very concerned about security standards and has some of the most rigorous security measures of all payment processors.

Every transaction is encrypted and SSL protected, so your donors and buyers can feel comfortable knowing no one, not even Classful, can see their credit card or bank details. In addition, you can rest assured that the recipient will receive all transactions securely. Stripe is also PCI Level 1 compliant, with the highest verified payment processing security level.

How to use Stripe

Stripe is different from many other payment processors because it is easy to use. Registering only takes a few minutes – you need to provide basic information about who you are and why you are accepting payments and banking details to get you set up.

Once you have a Stripe account, we can transfer your donations or sales. Only Stripe can see their credit card information – Classful and the end user cannot. Stripe will process the credit card payment, and once it is authorized, you and the donor or buyer will receive an email.

You can transfer your funds to your bank account or receive a check by mail from Stripe.
