Description
Students read an informative 950-word biographical text on one of America's most beloved presidents, Dwight Eisenhower. This text is his life story, beginning with his early years in Kansas and following his climbing the ladder through the military to becoming the successful and admired president between 1952-1960.
This US History reading and assessment activity helps address several Common Core ELA Standards that are listed below this introduction and is suitable for Grades 5-8. There are 28 vocabulary, comprehension, and short-answer inferential questions that require application of Common Core Standards to a thorough close reading of the biography.
