THIS IS A FREE PREVIEW of my Author's Claim Activity for Black History Month. It includes two short passages with multiple choice questions about claim and tricky words.
Students will be highly engaged as you honor Black History Month with this activity. They will learn about inspiring African American figures in History while practicing identifying a claim and their word attack skills.
Informational passages, each with a question about claim and a tricky word to solve, can be used as task cards, do-nows or however you'd like in your classroom context.
