Use this lesson during the first weeks of school or any time to discover student character strengths, help students get to know each other in a deeper way, and engage in developing positive classroom management.
After watching an inspiring video, students can use the resources provided to think about and discuss the traits they believe are the best part of themselves as well as produce a visual to share with each other. This lesson plan guides you through facilitating an activity where students begin to see their character strengths as superpowers, and think about other traits they would like to develop. This activity can take thirty minutes to an hour depending on the options you select.
